Men

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

1 Corinthians 16:13

The men’s ministry at CBC draws men together as followers of Jesus; in our lives, our homes, our jobs, our community, and our church.

Men's Bible Studies

Wednesday Mornings

No Wednesday Bible Study on Dec. 24 or 31
  • 9:30-11:00am in the Cornerstone Room
  • Beginning  Wednesday, September 10
  • Gospel of John
  • Led By: Pastor Seth Guthrie

Join us as we study the Gospel of John, one of the four accounts of Jesus’ life and ministry in the New Testament. John focuses on who Jesus is—the Son of God—and why believing in Him leads to eternal life.
Over the course of this study, we will:
  • Read through the entire Gospel of John together
  • Discuss its major themes, including belief, eternal life, truth, and discipleship
  • Explore how John’s account applies to daily life as men seeking to follow Christ
This study is open to men of all ages and levels of Bible knowledge. Bring a Bible and be ready to learn, ask questions, and engage in discussion.

Thursday Mornings

Beginning January 8
  • 6:30 - 7:30am in the Cornerstone Room
  • Jude
  • Led by: Jerome Wendt

Angels kept in chains. Sodom and Gomorrah. Moses’ body. Balaam’s error. The Lord’s Return. What do all these topics have in common? The often overlooked and rarely examined book of Jude references these subjects, some of which one will find in the Bible while others can only be found in extra-Biblical text.

Beginning Thursday, January 8, 2026, and going through the end of February, CBC’s Jerome Wendt will lead the Men’s Thursday Bible Study taking place at 6:30 am. During this weekly 1-hour Bible Study, he will cover the stories behind these references and how they support the central message of Jude.
