LaVern Smith
Pastor of Congregational Care
LaVern was called of God to become a missionary at age 17. Having grown up on a farm, in a Godly home, gave him great practical skills to construct church buildings and grow congregations in the Caribbean islands of St. Vincent, Grenada, and Trinidad. Married to Marlene for 63 years, having 4 adult children, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great-grand child, life following the Lord has not always been easy but has been very satisfying to minister to people of different cultures and varied needs. Since retiring, LaVern continues to minister to the sick and shut-ins as a part-time visitation pastor.
