Helping kids to Love, Learn About and Live Like Christ

Children

Our desire is that every child would come to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ , and have the opportunity for that relationship to grow through intentional discipleship.  In order to help kids understand who God is and what He has done for them, we strongly emphasize and practice the study and memorization of Scripture. We want to train and equip children to live according to God's desires that He shares in His Word; putting their faith into practice in their everyday lives, so that they might be bright lights to a dark world.

We understand your desire to have a safe, nurturing environment where your children can experience the love of Jesus and grow in their knowledge of Him.  We do this by carefully evaluating all those who work with our children by  having them complete a reference and background check, and with the knowledge they have been attending CBC faithfully for at least six months.  We also maintain as our goal to always have qualified workers who are aware of and abide by our Child Protection Policies, and working within the guidelines of these policies can develop meaningful, personal relationships with your children.

Our children's area is built with safety in mind. During Sunday School and Discovery, the entire Children's wing will be closed down, so that no unauthorized people can enter the area. All children 6th grade and under must be checked into our computer system, which can be done at the entrance to the Children's wing or at the nursery. Parents will receive a pick-up tag that will allow us to verify that all children are picked up by the appropriate person. With these safety precautions in place, we can ensure that every child can have a positive faith-building experience in our children's ministry.

Sunday Mornings

Nursery - 9 & 10.45am

On Sunday Mornings nursery care is available for children from birth to 2 years of age during all both services. We also have a Family Bathroom and Mother's Room available every Sunday morning.

Sunday School - 9am

Sunday School is available for children ages 2 through 6th Grade.   Children will be with the same class and teacher each week, creating an environment where community and discipleship can thrive.  CBCKids uses Brite  Curriculum in our Sunday School classes. This is material created by the Awana organization that goes chronologically through the Bible each year.

Discovery-  10.45am

During the 10.45am service each Sunday, we offer Discovery for kids ages 3 through 1st Grade. This is a fun time of worship and Bible teaching, utilizing storytelling, crafts, and games to promote understanding of key Biblical concepts in young children. Each session of Discovery will also include some time of free play.
