2018 CBC Women's Retreat

Friday, March 16, 2018, 6:30 PM - Saturday, March 17, 2018, 5:00 PM

Retreats are a wonderful time for the women of CBC to spend an extended time together.  They can also be a time for each woman to spend a little extra time with God. This year’s theme “Be Still” reflects that goal of having a little extra time, in a place away from it all to spend in quietness before Him.

About our Speaker, Renee Black:

Renee Black grew up on a farm near Waverly, NE.  After studying Christian Education at Grace University, she worked in the Admissions office at Grace for several years before going to UNMC to become a registered nurse.  She then worked for a couple of years in Family Practice and then was the administrator for Overland Hills Church for 25+ years.  She married David Black in 1984.  They have 2 kids and 4 grandchildren. Renee presently attends GraceLife Bible Church where she is on the Worship Team and teaches a Woman’s Bible study.

The leadership team, headed by Cindy Nelson and Lydia Tschetter, will be working hard to make sure everyone is comfortable and able to meet and get to know other CBC women.  We would like to help those of you who haven’t come to a CBC retreat before, by letting you know that we will help you to be part of a room of compatible women!   You are also welcome to bring a friend or relative. We will help set up carpools so several women can drive together.  Just let us know about carpooling as you register.   Contact Cindy or Lydia if you have any special needs or questions.

A final note:  If you would like to contribute funds towards scholarships for those in financial need, contact Lydia.
