Membership 101

Local Church membership is responsibility that every believer should strongly consider.  A portion of Community Bible's Church covenant to which members agree reads:

Having been led by the Spirit of God to receive Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord and on profession of my faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, of the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and accepting the Holy Scriptures a my rule of faith and practice, and recognizing the privilege and duty of uniting myself for Christian fellowship, the enjoyment of Christian ordinances, I now joyfully enter into covenant and agree to associate myself as a member of Community Bible Church.

From the CBC Constitution: ARTICLE IV: MEMBERSHIP

This church shall receive and retain as members those who have trusted Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and have been baptized following confession of faith, who manifest the fruit of a godly Christian life, who are willing to support the church by prayers, attendance, service and contributions, who have met the qualifications and followed the procedures set forth in the bylaws and who subscribe to the statement of faith (see ARTICLE III).
