A Message from Women’s Ministries
The Women’s Ministries committee welcomes you. The purpose of women’s ministries at CBC reflects the purpose of our church as a whole: To enable you as a woman to worship Christ passionately, follow Christ wholeheartedly and to share Christ lovingly.
As a committee we strive to be aware of our women’s needs. Spiritual growth and prayer are always a top priority in our planning. Bible studies are very important to us. Each study is carefully selected to teach God’s word according to the Bible. With Bible studies offered in various homes and at several different times, we hope you can find something that fits your schedule. We also know that fellowship is a very important part of spiritual growth and so we try to provide monthly opportunities to get to know each other and encourage each other.
Finally, we also believe that as Christ serves us, we should serve others. If you are looking for ways to minister to others, we have several service areas and we would love to help you grow in your spiritual gifts.
Women’s Ministry Committee members:
Chairwoman
The chairwoman oversees all of the events and happenings among our women. She keeps everyone focused and moving toward our goal of helping women connect to God and each other.
Deb Weller, Bible Studies & Connections
From selecting topics to arranging host homes, Deb provides oversight of the Bible studies for women. Feel free to contact her with ideas about things you would like to study, opportunities to teach/facilitate or hosting a study in your home. Deb loves to help women get connected. With less emphasis on events and more emphasis on informal gatherings, don’t be surprised if Deb gives you a call for coffee!
Mona Routley, Community
Mona works to build a supportive community among women by establishing activities that allows women of similar interests to get to know each other. Typically one event per month is offered.
Sarah Baltzer, Secret Sisters
What’s a Secret Sister? A CBC woman just like you that needs encouragement and prayer. How do you get one? Secret Sisters sign up in February by either coming to the secret sister Kick Off or by contacting the coordinator, if you can’t make it. Then for that year, you pray for your secret sister and send her some notes or cards of encouragement. Little gifts are okay too if you want. Being a secret sister isn’t about what you get, but about what you give to another woman, a woman you may not have known before but who you can get to know through prayer and encouragement!
Bonnie Smith, Helping Hands
Bonnie oversees a service committee that includes our meal ministry, funeral lunches, wedding and baby showers, new baby recognition and coordinators for the annex kitchen and kitchenette.
Laura Wendt, Kitchen
Laura oversees the many facets of the ministry of the main kitchen, working closely with the many different ministries of the church that use this kitchen.
Chris Klein, Prayer
Chris sees that all the work of women’s ministries is being prayed for. Prayer warriors should call Chris to add their voice to prayer for the specific ministries to women of CBC.
Janice Ice, Mom2Mom
Mothers face unique challenges in our society. Janice’s desire is for the mothers of CBC to be encouraged through relating with other women, God’s Word and practical ideas.

Mona Routley, Community
Watch for these fun little nights through out the year. It might be a game night, or volleyball, or a craft or scrapbooking night or anything that will be a chance to just mix and interact with other CBC women. Trade facebook for face time! CBC women work together to provide much practical help to the church, often showing our caring for our church or other women by the work of our hands. If you’d like to volunteer for any of these areas, just call any of these coordinators.
