Mom’s Night Out

A few weeks ago in Bible study I asked the ladies to name who was their favorite woman in the Bible. My answer was Eunice. Some of you may wonder why Eunice? Eunice was Timothy’s mother and Lois was his grandmother. These two women of faith were named in Paul’s final letter that he wrote from a prison cell in Rome shortly before his death. Paul wrote, “I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded, now lives in you also.” ( 2 Timothy 1:5 ) What a legacy of faith these two women – a mother and a grandmother – passed on.
